• A Better Man

    -March 2, 2005-

For sweet or bitter, im the chosen one of my life
Burden and wages will be soon forgotten.
The torn inside me pushes me to continue on.
Life can split in a second, yet it could fall apart.....

Seeing tommorow with no fear what is ahead....
silently waiting, learning to be a better man.
Footsteps of one who is about to die walks by...
Showing me the lessons on saying a farewell good bye.

"father, come back!" was the last words i spoke to him.
Gun sound, blood, horror, and gore were shattering me apart.
Piece by piece, day light was shown, then falls into the dark.

Picking up a gun was easy, firing was hard.
You can play your own fate, or let god play your card.
Holding up my position, serving to my rank,
Brave as a soldier and with a heart of a Tank.

You've taught me well, for worse or for glory,
This is not a fairytale, this is a true story.
We supported each other, as if we were like brothers,
You've made me into a better soldier, unlike any other.

I looked up to you father,
    I knew you would understand,
but it was I that did not understand,
that you've made me a better man.
