This is the ice that once held my heart.
See how it's shattered and splintered into a million pieces?
See the red tinges where my blood seeped into the water?
I was cleaning off my heart on day,
Like I did every night back then,
And someone stopped the warm beating of it.
Stopped.
The water I was using froze,
Expanding against my heart and crushing it.
The blood wouldn't stop,
At least until the ice was solid.
Bleeding.
I met someone with a heart like mine.
Frozen, bloody, and scarred.
He is my twin.
My brother in an other life.
Scarred.
He let the ice melt,
Showing me it was ok to feel again.
My heart didn't melt.
It didn't budge.
Melted.
I was afraid of the fire of this….
Love.
I was afraid of being hurt….
Like before.
Loved.
Exactly like it was…
Before she did that.
Before I lost my innocence.
Innocence.
I didn't want to get lost again.
I liked the masks.
But, they're broken with the shards.
Masked.
With what is left of our hearts.
The broken, mistreated fibber
To our souls.
Maybe a match such as us was never meant to be.
We are meant to be
Ice.
Soulless ice.
