He is a caged bird singing so sweetly
A chameleon will always blend in
Crying out you shall never fly freely
First you are always, you always win
My love fits in unlike a shooting star
A shining light trying to fade away
Doesn't wish to but he can go so far
All knowing his wish shall change someday
Gone through the crowd at an amazing pace
Having always wished for you to slow down
From last to first place you have won the race
Your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground
In the crowd hidden, with others you stay
In the crowd watching, love will not fade away

- Title: Wanting to Belong
- Artist: shannaleii
- Description: Well we had to do poems for Shakesperean sonnets for Valentine's Day in our English class. Our teacher said that it could be to someone that we loved so I wrote this one about this guy that I had the HUGEST crush on like forever. Well he ended up dating one of my friends just like pretty much all the other guys I liked so I ended up not turning this in until April, three months late, the guy dating my friend and I still got perfect points on it, weird is that?

Try not to use a bright font color like violet when posting poetry online. It distracts readers from the actual content.
With that said, lovely rhymes, though you need to work on the imagery. They are disjointed and confusing. - Report As Spam
