Is it something i can take, No
Is it something i can give, No
But i can preserve life.
Is it something I can measure, No
Is it something i can weigh, No
But i can make my life change.
I was sent to protect and serve
My life is bound to others, I am theirs
I am a familiar in their eyes, I am no more.
I can't see whats in store but i'll keep on running
My future is waiting, I won't make it wait long.
I love all in this world, but i hate it also
Is life so strange that I love it, but can't stand it?
I would shed my mortal body in a flash, if only to serve
my friends and family, but there is one thing that holds me here,
It is my heart, my love for an individual, but its forbidden.

- This poem is contradictory. You can give a life, you can take a life, but you most definitely can't preserve a life.
