-
I run through the forest,
one with it,
not sure where it ends and I begin.
I don’t run to anything,
or from anything,
I just run.
And I hear a rustle.
Slowing down, I become silent as I stalk.
Part of the forest, no one could tell me apart.
And then I see you.
Our eyes, mine gold and yours dark, meet.
Lock.
We play this game.
Who will look away first?
I do. I lose.
And them I run again,
pushing,
away from you,
away from me.

- Title: Running
- Artist: skye the vamp
- Description: This started out as a werewolf poem, them had a reference to vampires, and a few other things were thrown in too. So I just gave up on what species the viewpoint is from, because the important part is what happens. So, make of it what you will, I hope you like it.
