I was hanging by a thread
so close 2 being dead
almost lost my life 2 myself
was crying out 4 help
then i met uand u heard me yelp
wen no one else didand u cared
didnt let me harm i single hair on my own head
u made sure i was taken care of and well fed
and now im must say i
m sry for the things i said 2 u
was so hurt and confused
had growing up 2 do
and so i thank u
u brought me back 2 life
b4 i was dead

I like it, but I think it would get more attention if it had proper grammar. It's just the essence of poetry! Other than that, good. Overall, 3/5, because of the grammar.
