I slide my bare feet
along the frosty tile,
then peek around the white washed corner
hoping to catch a glimpse of you.
I stumble with uncoordinated legs
to the window to watch the sun rise.
I lean down to pick
a rose thorn from my toe,
and a red salty tear drop forms upon the skin.
But there's still no sign of you...

- Title: Upon a Warming Realization
- Artist: pretty hate machine
- Description: This is (sort of) of a continuation of Upon a Numbing Realization. As you'll notice in most of my poetry, I'm not a huge fan of rhyme schemes.

It's really nice. Made me feel warm. Short and sweet.
