I took advantage of your love and generosity,
I took for granted that you would be there for me,
But before I could tell you how much I loved you, you were gone.
I can remember all the times that I was in need of a friend; you were the one person I could trust.
If it wasn't for your guiding hand,
I would have never found a way to keep on going.
Whenever I am in doubt, I look back on all the things you taught me,
and everything becomes clear.
Forever, my friend in my memory you will stay.
Showing me the right thing to say.
To me you are my guiding light.
When I felt that no one in the world would love me,
you gave me all your love and kindness.
