• The 4 Lenses of Love


    In the midst of my anguish

    My regret grew bigger

    But timed stopped for me

    In the appearance of a glowing figure


    I am your guardian Angel

    And I’ve seen your pain and sadness

    You’ve lost sight of love,

    So I will show you the way to happiness



    Her beauty signified that she came from above

    And four lenses encircled her body

    She told me, these were the lenses of love

    Look into each lens, for truth is priority


    In the first lens I looked through

    I saw children playing with different races

    Interacting with others with

    No awareness of discrimination

    Who can love you no matter what?

    Regardless of who you are and what you do?

    Constant forgiveness, eternal grace; to some may seem odd

    But only one represents this bond and that is the love of God


    The second lens I looked through

    It showed people opening presents

    And I knew what was going and

    And I easily got the message

    This was the love of a family

    Who cared about each other dearly

    I know for a fact, that

    They understood love clearly


    The third lens, was a girl with a disability

    Who was made fun of at school?

    But someone stood by her side

    Cheered her up and made her feel cool

    I know what it’s like to be laughed at,

    The feeling of rejection, wishing the world would end

    But when there is someone by your side

    Kind and encouraging, you know that’s the love of a friend


    After viewing the last lens

    I knew what the Angel wanted me to do

    To Change something I did in the past

    The route I chose to ellude


    The Angel sent me back in time

    There I stood scared for my life

    Life has no meaning

    For I fear my wife

    The last lens showed a man pointing a gun

    At a man and a woman caught in strife

    The man jumps in front of the bullet

    For this was the love of sacrifice
