The rain pounds,
The drum sounds,
Battle cries,
A soldier dies,

Bullets fly like darts,
Causing bleeding hearts,
Another woman made a widow,
As a memory fades to a shadow,

The battle rages on,
Another life gone,
They dig another grave,
For the soldier so brave,

[much ado about nothing]

I think this is pretty good, only(if you don't mind a little critique) you could take the "a" out of "As a memory fades to (a) shadow", and change the last line to "yet another soldier dies". Then it would be great! 5 stars anyways!
