• In the distant darkness
    A voice bellows
    But is not heard
    The crows calls at midnight

Like a bird in a cage
    He nests in lonesome fate
He calls out to the moon
    But is given no response

He calls out to the night
    But no one is there
    Alone in the dark
    With a merciful stare

He calls out to the open
But no beating heart is heard
    No rustle, no scurry
    No Howl nor screech

    A hasty wake
    An early rise
    His sanity bided
    His spirit released

    He soars away
    Beyond early sunrise
    The solitude is broken
    The darkness fades

    He lasted the night
    And into a new day
