• Soundless screams with great resound
Fill the bustling halls of my mind
“Not right! Not fair!” They cry aloud
    “Another way I’ll find!”

In reply the walls look down
And silent cry “Away with you!”
    And never to return unbound
    Or without what is true.

“And where am I to find this?”
The screaming voice replies in pain,
“Where am I to find this truth?
And what am I to gain?”

The silent walls ring out clear
    “Amidst calamity of course,
    In chaos find rigidity.
    But know you’ll face remorse.”

    “Remorse for what?” soundless screams
And why must I return bound up?”
This is my house! I make the rules!
And I say what I’ll do!”

    The walls close in silently
And silent scream their own domain
“Think you that you own me young one?
Dare you make such a claim?”

    The screaming voice argues back
“I am not young but do lay claim
To everything that’s mine you see
    And now begone yon curse!”

“Another way you say you’ll find,
    But,” self-preservation calls.
“But as you wish I leave you now.”
And the roof comes crashing in.

Now stand silent those mind walls
And death has claimed the silent screams
And with them also do the walls
    Break up and crumble down.
