• Rainfall in Summer

I wish I could represent this
    In a metaphorical bliss,
    But I'm afraid I haven't
    Experienced anything comparing
    To this magnitude.

    There's nothing I'd rather do
Than sit here, and watch you sleep
    While the rain is falling
    Must we move on?

The air around us feels frozen
    The time as well
    As I share this sheet,
Will you share one more tale?
    The words from your mouth
    Blossom upon ready ears
    Like an exotic flower
    From an even rarer beauty.

As I stare into your eyes,
    The gravity of the moment
    Starts to pull me under
    The surface of reality
    Becomes distorted with the ripples
Of the time I've spent here with you.
