Words and words and words
That cannot express how I feel
Pages and pages
Wasted by inadequacy of sentiment
Tears and tears and tears
My heart bleeds for you
Lost, so lost, so lost
For how am I to tell you
Love and love and love
That you feel for me…
I don’t feel for you?

Description:
About the poem itself: before I wrote this, there were literally pages and pages full of words in my notebook. The repetitiveness is there for emphasis. It's really a what-you-see-is-exactly-how-I-felt thing.
Before you start trolling about how I'm so lame because I take poetry classes yet my poetry sucks-- a) I'm a Creative Writing major so it's part of my curriculum and b) it's called freeverse. Walt Whitman was a freaking genius. - Date: 10/13/2008

Hahime-chan's poetry is quite good. It's MEANT to be repetitive
Repetition is a common tool used when writing is meant to draw a specific word into the mind. Repeating a word makes it show up more in the person's mind, thus making it seem more important.
Also, It wasn't MEANT to rhyme, as not all Poetry is rhyming. In fact, only about 25% of good poetry is in a rhyming verse. - Report As Spam

- Repetitive. May this be intentional or accidental, I didn't quite like it, but that shouldn't matter to you since this was merely an expression of emotion. I also didn't like that you didn't really have a rhythm that the reader could follow. It was like you were trying to rhyme "word" with "word". Hope that made sense.
