I stepped out infront of the bullet,
I stepped out to block you,
to give you the life that I will now lose.
A tear tumbled down my face,
I didn't let out a screech of any sort,
I didn't even shudder.
The bullet hit me,
I flew back weightless for a second,
then bashed hard onto the ground.
You now have,
what I didn't,
A reason to live...

I really like it.
The only constructive criticism I could give is that lines 5, 8, and 9 are weak in wording. No offense just something I noticed.
