• She wrote her life into a letter
    Her perfumed sorrow bound within
    One last memory
A patch to a broken heart

She would never know the years of pain
That those delicate strokes of ink would hold

For even though she felt alone,
If only she had opened her eyes, she would have seen
The love given by one person
Was greater than anything she could have known

Never again would she feel the sorrow left behind
By the very thing she surrendered
She was gone before the ink could dry.

Not a day goes by where her memory is forgotten
She said, "I'll never leave your side."
Even in death, their bond could not be broken

Soon, they will indeed be together again
    A promise left unbroken
