In the cage is where I sleep
These iron bars hold me in
Never moving or bending
Im aloud out the cage only when my captor are near
They let me see the world
But never as my true self
When i start to revert back to my true self
Back in the cage
when its time to sleep
Back in the cage I go
My true self fight of family and friends
Unable to help others in despair
Unable to care for others wants and needs
For he is in the cage
But as he helps others he also looks for love
When the captors see what he is doing
Once again he is thrown back into the cage
Only an unhappy maiden can set him free
If only she could see him
