• A Red Moon

    A red moon rises
In the tracks of a setting sun
    What my eyes see is
Only there when the day is done

    A moon so brilliant
    And yet so far away
    Shines through a red tint
That hides from the light of day

    In this life I’ve got
    Such a magnificent sight
    Is not just a spot
But a memory that I’ll hold tight

For who knows what tomorrow brings
In a world where dark men roam
Not all creatures are caring things
And not all dogs will follow you home

    Tomorrow death could have me
    Within his dark hands
Gone from the world of the happy
    Into the cold wastelands

Or if fate should have it
    I could see another day
    Upon this grand planet
On which I’d like to stay

    Either way it happens
    Happen it will
    No matter what actions
We take to prove it ill

    So like the red moon
    We all shall fade
    It may not be soon
The price will still be paid

Live your life to its best
And watch the red moon rise
So when its time to rest
    You can say your goodbyes
