• Dear Broken One,

His lie keeps you up at night.
The betrayal eats at your mind.
The feeling of loss has finally faded to anger.

Isn't that how it always is?
First, someone betrays you and you feel absolute saddness, which turns to loneliness and that turns to depression.
Before you know it, your happy happy dreams of being together again become nightmares.
You loose yourself in the questions you ask everyday, every second.
    Why me?
    What went wrong?
    Did he ever care?
Then the nightmares eat at you, turning you into a whole other person.
Depression and saddness become anger and hate.

While all of this is happening, your parents seem to stop believing in you.
They don't understand why I, your heart, is in tatters, but weren't they there?
Weren't they standing next to you when I was being shredded?
Maybe they just don't understand the torment you are still going through.
Shouldn't they be helping you through this?
You've been suffering so long and they've done nothing.
They don't understand why you can't sleep at night.
They tell you to sleep, but you can't.
The nightmares will only eat at you more.
Your burning scars keep you awake and they blame you.

This isn't something you can bare by yourself.
I can't keep beating with these feelings.
But what can you do when no one has the sense to know something is wrong and pull you from the darkness?
    Just keep breathing dear one.
You will one day find someone who is able to hush the questions and calm the cinders.
Someone who will catch you before you hit the floor and wipe the tears away.
He will be able to find your true smile.
So be patient dear one and listen to me.
One day everything will be okay again.
Sing yourself a lullaby and have sweet dreams tonight.
The anger will fade, just keep believing in me.
Always remember to listen to your heart.

    Sincerely, Your Broken Heart
