If blood was rainbow, I would kill
Just to see the color spill
And if it happened to be so
I'd slice and dice all that i know
Catch the drops in a canteen
Open when the world is mean
If blood was rainbow, that'd be rad
Impossible to be sad
If tears turned into butterflies
I'd find a reason just to cry
But crying would be hard, you know
If your blood was still rainbow
Just the thought would make you smile
Make you want to bleed awhile
If tears turned into butterflies
Only they would get to cry
I think a world that's sorrow free
Wouldn't be the world for me
Imperfection is so great
Can't have love without the hate
You can't always just be happy
Healthy, sometimes, to feel crappy
Wipe your tears and seal your cuts
Just take life, no ifs or buts

- Title: If Blood Was Rainbow [POEM]

Description:
A poem I wrote very recently.
Based off of an inside joke amongst me and my friends, we were imagining what everything would be like if we bled rainbows.
After a bit, I over-thought the idea, and was inspired.
My poetic persona took over, and this is the end result.
Enjoy. - Date: 12/25/2008

- I enjoyed the lilting cadence of your meter and rhyme. Its sing-songy quality played nicely off of the macabre subject matter of blood and tears. Certainly enjoyed the read, nice piece.
