• A torch of carbon and greed,
Sap up all the world's splendour.
It is off eternity we feed
In the crooked guise of saviours.

    Are we the prometheans
    Carrying flames through the world?
    Or insatiable villains
    Helping the blaze to unfurl?

    Oil spilt on fragile petals,
The fire will consume us all,
    The fuel, everywhere it falls,
    Human race burned to hell.

    Vampires to the last
    Sucking victims dry.
    Prometheus has passed,
    Silently the world dies.

What will they say of us
When this age has gone with the tide?
    Stupidity made us infamous,
We sucked the world bone dry.
