• I was different, somehow, someway.
I chased after the clouds and I ran after the sunset and I always looked up to the moon.
People look at me, like I'm crazy.
Maybe I am, but that's just me.
    This is my destiny.

    I will chase the wind,
    Beat the heat,
    Best the rest,
    Touch the sky,
    Follow the moon,
And I will find what I want,
    One step after another,
    This is my destiny.

    I run around town,
    I swim in the rivers,
I laugh about things nobody could,
I smile when people are down,
They always mock me and ask "Hey, kid. Why are you so weird? Why can't you be like us?",
And I'd say "Because it's my destiny."

    I will swim the seas,
    Sweep the lands,
    Dig the Dirt,
    Jump for the stars,
    And I will be free,
    One step at a time,
    Because it's my destiny.

I look back as I board the train,
I can see the faces of pain on the people as I get on,
I smile back at them and I wave goodbye,
And I knew time didn't fly,
Because as I turned back, I heard a short sound of running and bumping, and so i turned.
    Everyone was on.
    And they were smiling.

    I will cross the desert,
    Up the hills,
    Through the forest,
I will trudge across the snow,
    Just wait and you'll see,
    One step at a time,
    Because it's my destiny.
