-
People look at me,
With gawking eyes;
My smeared lipstick,
And nice thighs.
Tell me I'm pretty,
From the outside;
Learn to love me,
But push me aside.
Their eyes wonder up,
Like visual rape;
Something inside,
Wanting to escape.
Pin me to the floor,
With naught but a gaze;
Find myself running,
Like mice in a maze.
No personality,
Only looks matter today;
Feeling me up,
And asking me to stay.
I say no,
And they resort to violence;
Touch me anyway,
When I'm in silence.
This is our world,
Being pushed and shoved;
Female or male,
Used but not loved.
