I hope it won't cause you any annoyance
For I just want this little voice to be heard
There's no other way to let it out
Except to consume this space
And let these words be expressed.
For so long I've been totally dumb
And I let each day pass by
Holding these tears back.
Yes I'm tired of keeping all of these inside me
On the bottom depth of my everything
I wish the pain could be tangible
Tangible enough to let it go easily
Like a floating balloon in exteme lightness
I wish it could just be as easy as this:
To leave a tear in the ocean
Hoping it will never find its way back to me.
We're walking in opposite ways
As what was written in our palms
Fate keeps on making our worlds apart
And everytime I try to step on yours
I end up losing my way towards you.
All I wanted is to be near you
To witness your eyes staring at mine
How I miss those glimpses of yours
If only I could... If only...
Until the 14th of February came
Hearts and roses were everywhere
Fascinating people in love sickness
Happy are those with their loved ones beside them
Whispering the sweetest words ever know to man, "I love you."
I was just walking by along with a friend
Watching those love birds in sweet gestures
Until I've lost track of my surrounding
Seeing myself in pure unconsciousness
And the awaited moment came
I found myself in front of someone
Yes, it was you!
It was really too good to be true
Realizing it was you in front of me
'Cause that was the very first time
We stepped on the same world
At the same time on Valentine's Day.
- Title: Last Valentine's Day
- Artist: Shamielle
- Description: It's a poem of mine written last year, the second one I wrote for Michael. It's a real life story and it did happen last Valentine's Day. Everything was a plain accident and I've never expected this magical moment. Fate may make people grow apart but sometimes it's just the other way around.
