• They tell me he's a Hero
    and he should be mine.
    Married with 3 kids
    our future they divine.

    They say I'm his Princess,
it's fate I should give in.
    But they simply can't see
I'm rooting for the Dark to win.

    For I'm the Night's daughter;
lover of the dark and the depraved.
    I'm not a little flower
    needing to be saved.

    They tell me this Hero
would write love letters every day
    He'll be perfectly loyal
    and never think to stray.

But I don't need love notes.
    Or a little pathetic pet.
    I just want the Villain,
on which my wild heart is set.

    We'd dance in the shadows
    just my Villain and I.
    Stolen kisses in the moonlight,
    making me feel high.

The Hero can slay the Dragon,
    and even save the girl.
    But it's my wicked one
    that makes my head whirl.

So they can keep their Hero,
and the future in their head.
    Virtues and honor mean nothing
if you're living like you're dead.
