Losing your self esteem,
Now the mirrors are squeaky clean,
Every flaw and mark is on display,
Wondering why people like you anyway.
Your hair looks lame, your hips look fat,
Every look is a tiny heart-attack.
You may feel bronze, you may feel blue,
But try on my glasses and take a look at you.
No-one’s perfect but you’re pretty damn close,
You’re the one I admire the most.
We all feel s**t, now that we’re older,
But if you want to cry, I’ll be your shoulder.
You can’t be unlovable cause I love you,
Saying you don’t deserve it, but you really do.
Your hair, your smile, the way you grin,
Nothing else in the world means anything.
I know it’s hard to smile when you feel so bad,
But I miss it every single time you feel so sad.
Sometimes the celebrities, they feel s**t too,
You don’t believe me, but I assure you it’s true.
It’s just a flesh wound that will eventually mend,
Cause we all loose our self-esteem every now and then.
