• A crystalline voice rings out,
Pure and clear, like a bell.
She sounded just like an angel,
And yet from the most beautiful cloud, she fell.

    She danced among the clouds,
    She danced among the stars.
She sang a lullaby to the moon,
So when she fell, it left such scars.

She loved her home in the sky,
And yet she wanted to still fly.
    She couldn't help but cry,
As she knew she would soon die.

As her wings were tattered and torn,
    She kept on going down.
As she flew one last time,
Into the sea, she would drown.

Angels were never meant to fall,
    She needn't worry anymore,
She didn't have to worry about death.
Life would no longer be a chore.

They said they heard her sing,
They watched as she dove into the sea.
They looked away when she screamed.
And they saw her fate to be.

    In the winds of spring,
    Near the faithful sea,
They said they hear her singing,
But she only sings for me.

    My sweet bluebird of joy,
    The happiness in my life.
    Taken by the sea,
    She wasn't spared the strife.

The angel she used to be,
    The person that I knew.
To never return to my arms...
Because that night, the angel flew.
