• Snow had fallen heavily as the first leaves of autumn.

Pearched on a woodland tree, the pitch black bird sits, its steely gaze over the backyard of the house and church near the woodland.

Children of 5 year olds play in the snow, throwing it at each other, making angels, and jumping to see their marks in the ground.

Then they made a small snowman, and dress it up as a old man. a moment and they begin to look sad at the look of the snowman. Their protectors come out and understand, and explain words of hearts.

They see a bird on a branch and point it out.

The children are enlightened and go back into the warmth of the house.

The raven flys to the churchyard and pearches on a gravestone. The writing reads:

"Grandfather. Even in death, watches over us"
