• Today we heard the tragic news.
    It came suddenly--right out of the blue.
    Our teacher died just Monday night.
    We thought to ourselves, this wasn't right.
    The good old fellow, jolly and wise,
    has gone forever, left our lives?
    I remember his "magic finger,"
    running down the list.
    But from our lives, he's noe dismissed.
    His funny jokes, his famous lines
    his sense of humor
    all in my mind
    But I know I can say
    with all due respect
    that our time with him
    I will never forget.
