• The seconds tick away wasted time,
And the clock chimes the dooming hours by,
    I sit,
I stare at the empty page,
This piece of paper could be so great,
    It could hold the future,
It means nothing to the idle voices,
    Ignorant, scorning, gossiping, shouting, laughing,
    I am isolated,
    Alone and content,
I'd rather not be near them with their pointless disscussions,
    Some try to include me,
Asking questions that I do not know the answer to,
    I ignore them,
    Someone clicks a pen repeatedly,
    It attracts my attention immediatly,
    I do not stir,
But my eyes flutter shut and I clench my fists,
12 minutes and 42 seconds are gone,
I will never get them back,
    I am fine,
The teacher calls and the class is hushed,
    Voices continue in a whisper,
They assume I am not listening,
    They are right,
I would not worry what they are saying to eack other,
    It won't emotionly damage me,
    It won't hurt my feelings,
    I am numb,
    It doesn't matter,
    The teacher is silent, busy,
    The class is louder,
The teacher looks up, and gives a specific signal for quiet,
    It works,
    For 69 seconds,
This is how to waste time,
    20 minutes and 54 seconds,
This piece of paper could be so great,
Instead it bears my meaningless words,
Watch, as they wrap around you tounge,
Listen, as they echo in your throat,
    Now repeat clearly:
This is how to waste time,
    30 minutes and 34 seconds.
