• Gazing deep within your eyes,
An eclipse stares back at me.
Blocking out all beams of light,
And darkness is all I see.

Between you and the outside world,
The moon hides your soul from view.
You're cold and lifeless as a stone.
    The sun cannot shine through.

This midnight wall is preventing them,
    From basking in your glow.
From seeing past your outer shell.
You do want them to know.

But sooner or later the night will pass,
And dawn will change the tide.
In time you'll let your spirit blaze,
    And let us all inside.
