• Many a night I've pondered the past
    I'm eternally wandering
Looking at the black windows of shops I pass
With your eyes watching me yelling “Don't cry!''
    And believe me I try

    I'm eternally wandering
With my heart in my hands
With you eyes watching me yelling "Don't cry!'
    And believe me I try

With my heart in my hands
And my face wet with dew
Believe me I try not to say “I hate you”

My face wet with dew and never with tears
Tears would mean I love you
and we know that not true

    The thought that you cheated
Makes me wish I could cry
    But to ask why
    Would be inviting you back

    The thought that you left
Brings me both joy and pain

Would inviting you back quell that pain?
Are these nightly wanderings a way to quell the pain?
I ponder this as the dew gives way to rain

These nightly wanderings growing in number
as the dew gives way to rain
in my heart I know there is no way to dull that pain

So my mind runs in circles and this much is true
Many a night I've pondered the past
Crying my eyes out for a love that didn't last
I'm eternally wandering because of you!
