He stood at the edge, watching the many people beneath him.
Wrapped in their euphoric lives, not noticing the angel above.
The wind caressed his heated face as the sun shone in its bright malevolence.
Mocking his pain with its bright rays above, mocking his pain with their happy chattering below.
“Where do you fall?” a voice snickered in his ear, “Do you fall, reaching for the sky? Or do you fall crying good bye?”
Again he watched the humble patrons of the street, never minding the teardrop shower. He touched his cheeks, damp with the regret, “You shed tears, but you wear a smile.
How can you smile when you want to die?”
He bowed his head then slowly looked up to receive the sun.
“Who said I wanted to die?” he took a step closer to the edge.
Felling the wind tempt him farther, “Who said I wanted to live?”
Gravity beckoned to show its skills.
He took a step, feeling the wind against his back.
“You are awfully close to the edge. Just a bit further, or do you want some one to save you.”
He laughed
“Save me? I rather they…” his words lost to the wind
He fell
He did not jump
“Ah…such a shame.”

Description:
I wrote while i sat outside on the roof...I always kinda wondered what would be a jumpers last thought. would he argue with himself as to weather or not to do it? would he be at peace with himself? Or would it be an accident. I don't know.
