Listening to that sweet voice,
Mouth locked in a U,
Tongue made cement,
“She’s out of your league,
she’s gonna say No, you know it.”
Mind races…words pour out,
Some should stay in,
Floods are bad.
“You’ve got no chance,
Why would she ever want you?”
Heart pounding, Nerves on edge,
Hands could be Richter
Butterflies should die.
“She’s got an image,
You know what her friends would say.”
Forcing my words, have to talk.
Her pedestal is so high,
Maybe I should shout.
“Oh what the hell,
Just wing it, what could happen?”
Would she freak out, and leave?
I shouldn’t ask.
But, then again…
“Oh My G-D
I can’t believe it worked! But how?”
Colorful lights in my eyes glow,
Room spins around,
Dark and a dull thunk.
“What happened?
She said yes? I can’t believe it.”

Description:
A poem i wrote about the stresses of asking a girl out, and the emotions that go through a guy's head. Girls think about this next time you wait for him to make the first move.
I feel like it should be a little longer though. - Date: 05/18/2009

yeah it could'ave been longer, a bit more detail because it goes from uncertainty and doubt to straight out happy razz
but it still worked by cutting it out..
