"Black is" by Mike 12/10/08
Black is the beauty of a billion faces
That are a part of only one race
We walk with a gleam
With an ebony beam
This is Black
From dark chocolate
To milk chocolate
From weaves
To nap rings
This is Black
From our homeland to America we were enslaved
Some were even manned
Forced on a new culture
We were tortured
This is black
We lost so many
Over something that seemed so silly
But like a flower our beauty blossomed
And we defeated them
This is black

Interesting concept. You used good symbolism and a bit of repitition there - I liked that.
However, some phrases seemed... lacking, such as Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.
Overall, 4/5. Keep it up man. biggrin - Report As Spam
