• Do you really know what its like to live a life of poverty
To have to struggle to keep a house, an apartment
    Even your own children
Do you know how it feels to have to look your child in the eyes and tell them they have no home
Or you’re sending them away because you can’t afford to keep them
Do you know how it feels to be out on the streets
To hope like hell you actually wake up the next morning
To have to sell your body for money
Or to rummage through trash for something to eat
When you look around you and see people who are in the struggle, living on the streets
Do you laugh and point at them and treat them with disrespect
Or do you feel sympathy for them and try to help
Or maybe you just ignore them
For those of you who are in the struggle but do have a home and family and for those of you who are lucky enough to not be,
Be lucky for what you have because one day it may all be gone.
