A heartbreaker?
An emotion of no return?

Is it life?
Is it death?
Is it mind gone blank?

What is love when no one loves you?
Is it hate when it's not?
Is it love with no feeling?

Is it far?
Is it near?
Is it wide?
Is it narrow?

What is love without loss?
What is a judge without a jury?
What is good without bad?

What is cold without hot?
What is earth without wind?
What is fire without water?

What is love?

Love is not without loss
as life is not without death,
hate is not without love.

Love has emotion,
as the mind has thought
and emotions return.

Love is not love unless you love someone
as near is not far
and wide is not narrow.

So you ask "What is love?"

Love is you with no control.

Love is without doubt, even when you doubt it.

love defines us when we can't.

Love is without human understanding.

Love is when you'd be willing to throw yourself into the crossfire.

When you'd be willing to take your own life save her's.

... That is love.

It's pretty much inferred, but I think it would be cool to talk about the irrationality of love, especially to contrast the logical process of the three "answer" stanzas.
