• I follow footsteps melting in the snow
    To try and walk the path you made before,
    Yet mud and rocks confuse the time I know
    The scenery an ever-changing shore.

    I thought I'd made it to the place you stay,
    That spiritual escape you led me to.
    One gentle unassuming windy day;
    We walked there and I stood, just held by you.

    I found the spot where both of us had stood;
    We sang and breathed and caught a glimpse of God.
    But now that I've returned to it, the wood
    Lies silent, like my journey was for naught.

    Whatever sorrow I had known before,
    Is nothing to this ever-changing shore
