    and the end result,
    Glancing back just once
    to see how it all played out,
    Where am I going?
    she asked herself softly,
    Every step that she takes
    leads through an unspoken path.

    Traveling through the memories,
    she recalls the emotions she once had,
    all the love and the content times,
    all the despair and the loneliness.
    Each and every one buried,
    deep inside her fragile memory.

    Untouched as she walks ahead
    passing along the edge of the field.
    She wonders out loud
    There are so many options,
    but not everything is the truth,
    and not everything said is a lie
    But at what point do you lose yourself?
    All the meanings of words are lost,
    and no one can decipher them.

    Eventually it must all come together,
    and take an ending part
    As the rain started falling down
    she began to realize,
    that even if you do your best
    it's still not enough.
    To hold on to the people you love,
    it means more than just a smile.

    Standing below the clouds
    as the rain fell permanently to the ground,
    she stood still, weeping within the rain,
    not knowing what she has done wrong,
    but all knowing on why it has happened.

    She looked to her left,
    only to see someone standing in the distance.
    Trying to comprehend everything,
    she knows who this is, and wonders why.
    She is pulled towards him of her own will,
    and can't describe yet again why.

    As time floods back into her mind,
    those same memories reveal themselves.
    She whispered to his shadow,
    If only you could feel
    what I have felt these last months,
    just maybe you could understand.
    Why did you leave me all alone?

    As he turns to walk away
    she looks at him one last time,
    searching for the answer in his lonely eyes,
    only to find that one lost moment in time.
