• In retrospect, I find myself
    a selfless, friendly man.
I'd give a limb, or two, or three,
to help you with your plans.

But one thing I have noticed,
    shown its presence over time,
    is that people take advantage
    of the eager, helping mind.

They'd ask me for a few,
    and I'd give a hundred, easy;
    Unpaid what I was due...

    But technically speaking,
    if I had another chance
    to perform again this Dance
    that we call life...
I would gladly take a bow,
don my suit and start the show
    but I wouldn't change anything
because that's how I smoke my pipe.

If they want to take control,
I won't let them have the satisfaction
    of plotting out my choices
    and pre-perceiving my reactions.
But if they want to benefit
from that which makes me feel alive,
I'd give them a helping hand
    or three, or maybe five.

But if they take control of me
and chain me to their whims,
believe me when I say that
    "their actions be their Grims."
I'll lace their lunch with poison,
I'll club 'em in the face,
I'll make 'em wish forever that
    they hadn't entered my place.

If you're one of the many
that relates to what I tell,
then show them how 'friendly' you can be
if they try to cage your will.
