i simply ran away to hide
not knowing where i'm going
i ran away and softly cried
my tears are never showing
what disgrace have i become
or had i always been
how could i have been so dumb
tears fall from my chin
unaware of what's around me
i'm taken by surprise
when i look up and see
thwo beautiful silver eyes
his lips spread into a soft smile
his eyes look concerned
then he held me like a child
and something in me stirred
my tears soon cease to fall
my sobing begins to quiet
i see his hand beside the wall
and lay mine beside it
i look up at him to see
such a gorgeous face
looking back at me
my heart begins to race
he wipes a tear from my cheek
and whispers in my ear
"i am the one you seek
for i am always near"

Nice! Actually this isn't a sonnet, this is a ballad. A sonnet is a 14 lined poem with 10 syllables in each line and written in iambic pentameter with a rhyme scheme of ABAB CDCD EFEF GG.

A ballad is a poem that tells a story. ^^
