• The Shadows

The shadows lurk around every corner,
turning up the heat of every fire,
    turning you against your morals,
so you can reach your heart's desire.

    The shadows make you weaker,
    cause you to go insane,
    and before you know it,
they feed your sorrow that falls like rain.

How do you expect to fight the world
when you don't know what it's about?
The darkness gives birth to the world's problems
and gives birth to your doubts.

How do you expect to fight the world
when you don't know what it's about?
The darkness gives birth to the world's problems
and knocks you onto a different route.

The shadows are your dreams when you're awake,
are your conscious, are your pain,
are the dictators of your actions,
causing you to do things in vain.

How do you expect to fight the world
when you don't know what it's about?
The darkness gives birth to the world's problems
and gives birth to your doubts.

How do you expect to fight the world
when you don't know what it's about?
The darkness gives birth to the world's problems
and knocks you onto a different route.
