He was a soldier
who had an unknown name.
He died on the front lines
and without shame.
He was a real American
and he fought for our freedom.
He died serving us
and rose to stardom.
He was a good man
and he was friendly.
He didn't die in vain,
he died serving us proudly.
He has a tomb,
and it lies here.
He had an unknown name,
but we know he lays near.
