Ring around the rosey,
The words rang in my head
as I looked around trying
to find who was singing
the song of death.
Pockets full of posey,
Why would they sing
about such a poison?
Ashes, ashes,
Why would they
burn all the bodys,
and not let them
just rest?
We all fall down.
Why did that poor town
have to suffer so much?
The childeren,
the adults.
And everything in between.
The world was sad
with so much sickness.
And when I finally saw,
who was singing that
horrific song, I gasped
and sucked in my breath.
A small girl with snow white hair
Soft as silk, and souless eyes,
Her small petite body, standing there
innocently.
Sure I was confused at first
As she looked up at me,
but when her small lips
parted in a smile,
I knew who she was
and I was scared
for the first time in my life.
Because I knew I was looking
death in the eye,
the black plague.
