I stand out in crowds
I don't know what to say
I'm not very loud
I seem so far away
You ask me to talk
I get all jittery
My voice that you mock
You say I can't do literary
They call on me
I do not speak
You make fun of me
It makes me feel weak
You push me in the hall
You laugh and poke
I stumble and fall
This isn't a joke
I'm still in special ed
Why won't they see
I don't have to be led
I'm smart just being me
I'm not shy
At home I talk a lot
At school I want to cry
You leave me alone to rot
I've been joked upon for long enough
You cry because
I start getting too rough
"I don't hit, he does!"
I can't fight back
I'm easily amused
I can keep well on track
Until it comes back to you
You make my day hell
And what I don't understand
You cause me to fail
I'm as quiet as a mouse, yet as loud as a band
I constantly cry out for help
It's what you refuse to hear
I can't just stand up and yelp
For you hearing my voice is what I fear
