I smile at you,
But I'm crying inside.
Why can't you see the mask?

I laugh with you,
But I'm dying inside.
Why can't you see the mask?

I joke with you,
But I'm hurting inside.
Why can't you see the mask?

I get you to see,
but outside I'm giggling.
Why can't you see the mask?

I can't see outside my mask,
and you can't see in,
and it's pushing me away.

I try and I try,
to make my mind clear,
but the mask holds on too tight.

I smile at you,
but inside I'm gone.
My mind has floated away.
