I need it’s delusion again and again,
It won’t ever let me down,
It won’t allow the ride to end.
I want more.
It traps my mind with a magical high,
Keeps me blinded as it holds its lie.
I have control.
As it enters my ravaged body,
I escape through a made-up fantasy,
It veils broken dreams, gives a new reality.
I need more.
It doesn’t make me beg, doesn’t make me crawl.
I don’t have to fight, it allows me to fall.
It gains control.
I love feeling it flow through my veins,
I choose to ride the horse,
But I give it control of the reins.
I can’t quit.

Description:
I wrote this to try and impress upon others how hard addiction really is. Alot of people at my college laugh at addicts of any nature and call them weak. Being a person who was an addict I know just how hard the battle truely is, and I want others to realise it isn't a laughing matter, these people are not jokes.
