I know a nice story, with the nicest things I know
Like bacon and eggs, and the love will just flow
For this story is sweet like a fig
This is the story of the bird and the pig
The tale starts on a fine day in May
Where life goes on normally and all things are gay
The pig was out walking in the local park
And the bird was attacking anything that would spark
Without any reason, the clouds disappeared
And the sun came out, which the pig feared
“I should go,” the pig thought in its pink little head
“Or the sun will get me, and I’ll soon drop dead”
The bird could see the pig’s feelings clear
And said “Hey, Mr. Pig, you have nothing to fear!”
The bird, of course, thought the sun was a toy
And that its appearance would just bring joy
“No, Mr. Bird,” The pig shouted back
“The sun is not a thing you would attack!”
The bird, quite surprised, shouted “What do you say?
The sun makes us laugh, and shout out HURRAY!”
They argued for quite a while, I would say
For when they were done, it was no longer day
The pig saw up and thought “thank god, it’s gone”
And the bird looked down and said “it wasn’t up for so long”
Then they both blushed and laughed, like never before
The pig wasn’t dead, and the bird wanted more
They agreed to stay until it was noon
For then they could argue about the moon
