• It was a stormy night
    Everyone was filled with fright
No one knew what to do
    Women were filled with sadness
    Men were filled with madness
And the children stared hopefully at you
    Questions followed
    Answers hollowed
    And no one knew why
    Hope resisted
    Fear persisted
    Everybody started to say,"Goodbye"
    But,people kept going
    Already knowing
    That it might not work
    Some yelling and chanting
    Some heaving and panting
Both fell face-down in the dirt
    When things wear out
    We sometimes think about
    What we've done
    But,soon we forget
    And,again we interpret
That we know what we'll become
