Passing Delusion

  The Chorus is her mocking counterpart, observing from a distance and laughing at her naivete.
  The couplets are pleading whispers; she knows the Chorus must be there, but she cannot see them.
  The final Chorus is cut short, as they are unable to hold back their raucous laughter. Whispering over them is the final, resigned couplet, as she sees them at last and gives way to despair.
